New: Search Tool/Bar

Decided to add a search-tool for you guys, so on the right side, almost at the top you can find a small search bar where you can search this blog for tags, titles and so on.

As an examle, if you want to se a sprite of mario, search for it, but also things that has to do with mario will have the tag, so the coin box, the one-up star, the flesh-eating flower etc.

I hope this will make it easier for you guys to find what you are searching for here!

If there are any other things you think I should add/remove or change in order for this blog to become more search-friendly, please let me know =)

Hama Beads Haul + FAQ!

In my Hama Collection Video with tons of views I get a lot of questions where I get my beads. I answer every one, but I figured, just in case those of you who read my blog as well wonders, I would share a haul with you!

Here is the bag full of beads and the bottle-beads. The brand of those are Photo Pearls, which is a Swedish brand. I got those in Oslo at a hobbystore called Panduro. You can also check their Store Locator on photopearls.se for stores and online shopping opportunities.

Photo Pearls is actually made for making digital pictures into bead-art. You can buy individual bottles and refills like I did - or starter sets with the Photo Pearls Software and beads.

In the bag was a ton of Hama Beads. I had bought ceveral colours.

L-R: Orange, White, Yellow, Light Brown, Light Blue, Flesh

L-R: Gray, Purple, Blue, Black, Light Green, Pink.

I got these from ceveral places, because not every place has all colours.

The stores I used are Brio in Gran, Libris in Brandbu, Sparkjøp in Hønefoss and Panduro in Oslo.

Here in Norway, almost all regular toystores have Hama Beads. The Photo Pearls are harder to come by because it's not meant for children in the same way regular Hama/Perler beads are.

The prices vary from 11.50 NOK to 19.50 NOK for the bags with 1000 beads, and the Photo Pearls were 39.00 NOK for a bottle of 3500 beads.

Then, I just want to clear something up; perler, hama, pyssla, photo pearls...

They're all the same thing, just under diffrent names and brands. When all comes to all, they are all small plastic beads which can be fused together with an iron.

Pixels and Beads on Instagram!

I have made an account on Instagram - just like everybody else.

Calumon from Digimon

This is Calumon from Digimon. In the beginning of Digimon Tamers (season 3) he's just a cute little digimon wandering around, but in the end you find out that he is actually the catalyst that has the power to make Digimon evolve. He releases the power, and chooses to live the rest of his life as a Digimon.

It took 9 boards, but the 3rd board from the left there was noting on.

As you might know, I'm also making hama videos on youtube. So the simple question is:

Do you want to see the videos on here, or should I keep this strictly pictures?

It's all up to you! :)

The videos I have put up, and are going to put up are tutorials on different characters like Hello Kitty, Mario/Luigi, Yoshi etc, how to iron the beads and how I make my pixelart and other things that I come up with or is requested by you guys as well as collections/overviews! I hope you take the time to respond to this.

I mean, I know I just have 3 followers, but I can see from my statistics that there are a lot of people stopping by every day, and it would mean a lot too me! So far I've had over 11 thousand views and only 6 comments, and I would like to know that you like what I'm doing here ! Thanks <3

Nvidia Logo

Woho, this is my 100th blogpost!

Just as the Intel logo, this was also a challenge/request from a friend of mine.

This design was also created by me, with an obvious reference to the nvidia logo. I think it turned out pretty good, and I can't wait for him to see it in person. I know he's excited about it, and he'll glue this one to his computer as well.

This measures 30cm x 20cm, and took 6 boards.

Intel Logo

This is roughly 30cm x 20cm and took 6 borads. I made the design myself, and if you want to copy it, that's fine, but I would apprechiate it if you gave me some credit for it, haha.

The reason there are two blue-shades is because I though they were the same, all the way until I opened the second bag of beads and they were a tiny bit darker than the other. I didn't want to do it all over again, so I decided to leav it that way. I don't think it really matters.

The reason I made the Intel-logo is because a friend of mine wanted one to glue to his computer when he buys a new one. Therefor it wass partially a challange and partly a request.

Gomamon from Digimon

This is Gomamon. He's so cute, and he's Joe's Digimon in the series.

It's pretty big too; just a little shorter than 40 cm, so I used 9 boards for this, but you can manage with only 8, because there were nothing on one of the boards.

Demiveemon from Digimon

I've fallen completely in love with Digimon lately, and I'm watching all the seasons from start to end. At the moment I'm a little over midways in season 2. Anyways, I think Demiveemon is so cute, and I just had to make him. This is huge though, it's 45 cm tall. and like 40 cm wide I think. I love it, and it will be going up on my wall when I can find room for it. I've already put up 5 big ones on my wall over the bed in my room.

Piranha Plant with Tube from Mario

This is pretty big. It's like 30cm top to bottom. Which means it's perfect for storing minor things. I keep my hobby-equipment in there; metallic pens, tape, glue (for a gluegun) etc. I love it, but the gluing didn't work out as good as I wanted it too. Luckily I managed to hide it in the picture, though, so you can only see the good side of it, haha!

Questionmark-Block with Coin - from Mario

My newest work of art! I made this myself actually, or, the questionmark-sides and the coin I found online and copied, but I got the idea to gluing it all together my self..

There is also one thing that you can't see in the picture: Under the "nails" in the lid I glued pieces of 4 black beads similar to the nails. That way it doesn't fall down.

I made a Hama YT-Channel!

I just wanted to tell you that I made a Youtube-Channel about beading. So far I've put up two tutorials: Toad/Mushroom and a Skull. I'd love it, however, if you'd help me make my first subscriber, it would mean so much for me!

I also have more videos coming up, I've actually filmed several tutorials on different requested things from my first hama beads collection video. Which was actually shown on Yahoo too, and it has over 4000 views!
